Carex praegracilis 'Chisai'

Fine California Field Sedge: A short, green clumping sedge that can spread by rhizomes. Good lawn substitute that tolerates moderate foot traffic. Finer textured than most forms of Carex praegracilis. Brown blooms in spring. Grows 6-8" x 12-24". Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water, stays greener longer with irrigation. Deer and gopher resistant. Moderately drought tolerant.
