Carex flacca (syn. C. glauca)

Blue Sedge: Perennial. Deer resistant. Bog tolerant. Attracts butterflies.  Deciduous in all but mild climates.  Low mat forming ground cover, tolerates light traffic and spreads by non-invasive rhizomes.  Can cut back foliage to 2-3" to force new growth.  Grows up to 6" tall. Sun to part shade. Low to medium water.
