Melaleuca (Callistemon) violaceus

Purple Bottlebrush: Rare, large evergreen shrub or small tree to 10' tall x 8' wide with long blooming, showy, fragrant fuchsia colored flowers from late winter to spring. Good in containers. Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Seacoast, wind, heat, clay, sand and drought tolerant once established. Deer, gopher and fire resistant.
