Bursera fagaroides

Fragrant Bursera, Mexican Frankincense: An interesting shrub or small "bonsai" tree, typically growing 1 to 5 feet tall but capable of reaching taller with regular water. Thick short trunk with white papery bark that peels away to expose the pale green color below. Dark green leaves have a citrus-like odor when crushed. Small greenish flowers in spring, and small green fruit that bears a bright red seed. Full sun. Low water. Prefers neglect.
