Artichoke 'Purple Romagna'

Purple Romagna Artichoke: Evergreen perennial vegetable with grey-green foliage that grows 4' tall and wide. Italian heirloom seed strain artichoke. Grows large with purple outer leaves, and a rich nutty flower bud flavor. Pretty purple flowers will appear if buds are not harvested. Attracts butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. Good for containers. Full sun, medium water. Seacoast, heat, clay, sand, and drought tolerant once established. Deer and rabbit resistant.
