Armeria pseudarmeria 'Ballerina Red'

Great thrift: Evergreen, clump forming grass-like tufts 10" tall and wide with rose-red ball-shaped flower heads that rise high above the foliage in spring-fall. Good in containers. Excellent cut flower. Attracts bees and butterflies. Broader leaves, stiffer stems & larger flowers than Armeria maritima. Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Seacoast, wind, fire, heat, and drought tolerant once established. Deer, rabbit and gopher resistant.
