Arctostaphylos uva-ursi 'Massachussetts'

Massachusetts Bearberry, Uva-ursi, Kinnikinnick: This eastern US form of uva ursi is denser and greener than the western US form. Evergreen groundcover 12" tall x 6' wide with white-pink flowers. Small red berries. Leaves turn bronze colored in winter. Attracts hummingbirds, birds, and pollinators. Edible and medicinal uses. Good for containers. Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Seacoast, wind, clay, sand, heat and drought tolerant once established. Deer, rabbit, gopher, and fire resistant.
