Arctostaphylos 'Sunset'

Manzanita: Evergreen CA Native shrub 4-6' tall and wide with attractive coppery-red new growth. A naturally occuring hybrid that was discovered near Monterey, it has exfoliating shaggy bark and sections of smooth, brilliant, shiny reddish bark typical of manzanitas. Tolerates wind, heat, sand, clay and drought. Full sun, low water needs, deer and gopher resistant. Hummingbird and pollinator favorite.
