Arctostaphylos hookeri

Hooker's Manzanita: CA and SF native evergreen shrub. A variable plant with many named subspecies. Can be mat-like or mounding to 6' high. This particular form is taller growing. Small clusters of bell shaped pink flowers attract hummingbirds. Full to part sun. Low water needs. Deer resistant. Clay, wind, heat and drought tolerant once established. Tolerates some summer water. Slow growing.
