Aloe marlothii

Red Mountain Aloe, Flat-flowered Aloe: Large, unbranched succulent that can grow up to 10' tall. Large, gray-green leaves with reddish-brown spines. In late fall to late winter, it produces a wide-spread branching inflorescence of reddish-orange to orange-yellow flowers. Great in containers. Full sun. Low water. Seacoast, wind, heat, clay and drought tolerant once established. Hummingbird favorite. Deer, rabbit, and fire resistant.
