Flat-flowered Aloe: One of the larger Aloes, it’s also fairly cold tolerant. Usually single stemmed and eventually tree like (to 10’ tall and 6’ wide), this species starts out as a huge rosette of thick gray-green leaves armed with brown teeth. A Winter bloomer, the large 4’ tall and wide candelabra flower spikes come in orange, yellow or amber. Rich, well-drained soil is best. Good in large containers.
