Aloe ferox

Cape Aloe: A tall single-stemmed evergreen succulent to 6-8' tall x 3-5' wide with a rosette of dull blue-green 2-3' long leaves.  Orange-red flowers In late fall to mid-winter rise above the foliage in a large inflorescence. Full sun. Low to medium water. Deer and fire resistant. Seacoast, wind, heat and drought tolerant once established. Attracts hummingbirds and other nectar-feeding birds.
