Agave stricta

Hedgehog Agave: Slow-growing succulent with a spherical growth shape and has foliage resembling a hedgehog's needles. Magenta flowers in summer. Drought tolerant once established. Sand, wind and seacoast tolerant. Full sun, low water. Grows 20" tall x 20" wide.
