Podocarpus (Afrocarpus) gracilior

African Fern Pine: Dense, evergreen tree or hedge to 40' tall x 20' wide or more with dark gray bark and pendulous branches with 2-3" long, narrow dark green leaves. Good in containers, flower arrangements, and can be grown indoors too. Attracts birds. Full sun to part shade. Medium water. Seacoast tolerant (but not salt tolerant) Wind, heat, clay, sand and drought tolerant once established. Deer, gopher, rabbit and fire resistant.
