Aeonium canariense

Canary Island Aeonium: Evergreen, shrub-like succulent that grows to about 2-3' tall and wide, with rosettes to 6-12" across. Green foliage in part shade becomes reddish when exposed to sun. Golden yellow star shaped flowers in late spring-summer. Great in containers. Attracts hummingbirds, bees and pollinators. Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Seacoast, wind, sand and drought tolerant once established, but prefers occasional water. Deer, rabbit, gopher and fire resistant.
