Aechmea caudata var. variegata

Variegated Tail Bromeliad: A medium size funnel shaped evergreen plant to 3 feet tall. The leaves are light green with longitudinal creamy stripes that have a pink tinge. Long bloom season with inflorescence that consists of a compact tightly branched cluster of orange red bracts with bright yellow flowers atop a stout fuzzy white stalk. Great in part shade to part sun at the coast. Bright light enhances the variegation. Relatively drought and fairly cold tolerant. Easy to grow.
