Indian Mallow: A tough and fast growing CA Native semi-evergreen shrub that reaches to 4 to 5' tall and wide with silvery soft velvety heart-shaped leaves. 1" wide cup shaped gold to apricot colored flowers nearly year round with peak bloom in spring- summer. After flowers drop the fuzzy sepals remain with the developing fruit, good for dry flower arrangements. Full sun to part shade with occasional to little irrigation. Benefits from a periodic watering. but does not want to be overwatered, particularly in heavy soils, which it tolerates. Prune back after flowering.
