Flowering Maple, Chinese Lantern: Evergreen shrub 6-8' tall and wide with maple-like green foliage and showy clusters of small, pendant, bell-shaped flowers with flaming red calyces above yellow petals. Long bloom season from spring to fall. Attracts hummingbirds, birds, butterflies, bees, and pollinators. Good for containers. Full sun to part shade. Medium water. Heat tolerant.
