Hammock Fern: Spreads by creeping rhizomes, grows to 18" tall. The leathery 3 inch wide fronds emerge in spring with bronzy-pink to salmon-pink color then ages to a medium green color as the fronds become more leathery. Good drainage and regular irrigation. Occasional watering in coastal gardens. Foliage looks best when older fronds are trimmed to the ground in early winter. Good for part sun to shade. Slow growing and easy to manage.
