Phyllostachys nigra

Black Bamboo: Large, running bamboo with dark brown to black culms. Invasive if not controlled, perfect for dense walls or natural privacy fences and noise barriers. Up to 30' tall with 2" wide culms. Full sun to part shade. Low to medium water. Drought tolerant but appreciates occasional or regular irrigation. Deer and fire resistant.
