Aeonium nobile

Drought tolerant. Fire and deer resistant. Evergreen. In bloom reaches 30” tall, with a red flower head 18” wide made up of thousands of densely packed flowers. Even before it blooms in its sec­ond year, makes a foliar rosette 12” high x 18” wide. It’s monocarpic, so after blooming it will go to seed and die. Loves excellent drainage, so best in rock or succulent gardens and in a patio container. Attracts pollinators. Full sun. Medium to low water.
